"Apart from the fact that it's quicker to fly to NYC from my house,

it's still the best place to blow off the cobwebs..."

Il Divo

Unfashionable though it may be to say thanks for stuff at the moment in the music business, a BIG thank you for being our home for the past 10 days. Music Bank's "no problem" attitude, attentiveness and professional manner is always appreciated.

Andy Proudfoot
Tour Director

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

While recently touring Europe/UK/Scotland and Ireland, with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, I had the pleasure of working with Music Bank for all of our equipment/ backline needs. My contact, Julie went above and beyond the call of duty as our tour presented many challenges. I have worked with Music Bank through the years and always am pleased with the level of service, attention and professional attitude the business maintains. Congratulations to the Music Bank for providing such a high level of service to the playing/touring musicians.

Ed Sargent, Tour Manager, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

Jimmy Page

Dear Jimmy and MB Team,

Just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you! I hear from the Festinho team that Music Bank have a huge part to play in putting on this gig and I wanted to say a personal thank you for your help and support.

The money raised from Festinho goes directly to Brazil to help thousands of children and is greatly appreciated. Doing this festival is an important fixture to raise the ABC Trust's profile and much needed funds.

Thank you guys!

Jimmy Page OBE

Corinne Bailey Rae

Earlier this year, Channel 4 aired a special documentary on Corinne Bailey Rae in their 360 Sessions series, in which artists guide viewers around a favourite place. Corinne chose Music Bank and talked about her life and work - and performed live with her band - as she guided viewers around our rehearsal studios. Click the video on the right as Corinne gives you a guided tour of Music Bank, and you can find the full programme on YouTube here:

Programming Suites: Black Bear Productions

"When I was searching for a place to base my studio, Music Bank was by far the best complex I came across. Not only were the rooms fantastic, but to have all the other facilities that Music Bank has to offer underneath where I am working is incredible, to say the least. Not only for me, but for my clients as well. The rooms are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, and Central London only being a 10 minute drive away, makes it an ideal location to work from.

Especially with how much touring metal bands do, time off the road has to be spent wisely. To be able to rehearse, record preproduction for an album and to have an ideal location to film a music video all within a week make Music Bank the place to go. Where else can you go that offers so much? Just ask the guys from Rise To Remain..."

Glastonbury 2010: Cubana

"We used Music Bank for a large Cuban music area at Glastonbury this year and Julie was extremely helpful first in sorting out the core requirements from several bands' spec sheet - and then in coming up with a competitive quote."

"At all stages Music Bank were brilliant to deal to with, from first contact to the end - many thanks!"

Phillip Oppenheim
MD, Cubana

Thomas Stone / The Hoosiers

"I was last at Music Bank in spring 2010 with The Hoosiers who were rehearsing there in the run-up to the release of their second album for RCA. No matter what the band, artist, size or scale of the project I'm working on, I'm always impressed by Music Bank. Their rehearsal facilities are top-notch, from parking to food via sound and staging. I'd recommend them to anyone."

"I just wanted to say a HUGE great big thank you from me and the rest of the team at Festinho! We were overwhelmed by the support this year and it has all culminated to be the most successful year yet! We were completely sold out on all days and managed to make a lot of money for the ABC Trust, all in aid of helping kids in dreadful situations in Brazil. Thanks everyone, ROLL ON NEXT YEAR!"

Cadbury Schweppes' Gorilla

Cadbury Schweppes' Gorilla, one of the most memorable commercials - and online virals - of recent years was shot and rehearsed at Music Bank. The 90-second TV and cinema ad was directed by Juan Cabral and starred actor Garon Michael (who had previously played apes in Congo and 2001's Planet of the Apes reboot).

Shooting took place across a week in our North Studio and the soundtrack to the advert - which achieved 500,000 YouTube hits in just a few days - was of course by Phil Collins, a Music Bank regular.

It features a special performance from our studios, as well as commentary from Brian Molko, drummer Steve Forrest and new recruit Fiona Brice and was shot in summer 2009 as the band geared up for European dates in support of their sixth album, Battle for the Sun.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood

In 2004, Frankie returned to Hollywood when founder members Paul Rutherford, Jed O'Toole, Mark O'Toole and Peter Gill reformed the 80s sensation for a special concert at Wembley Arena.

The concert, Produced By Trevor Horn, was in aid The Prince's Trust and attended by HRH the Prince of Wales. Frankie closed the show, performing Relax, Two Tribes and Welcome to the Pleasuredome, with a new singer who they had recruited in open auditions just weeks before.

VH-1 tracked the band's reformation for a special documentary which, in the section featured here, saw them rehearsing in Music Bank's North Studio - the first time Frankie had played together for almost 20 years.

Dating back to 04 March 2005, here's Coldplay rehearsing for their acclaimed X&Y/Twisted Logic tour here at Music Bank. Having recorded the album for 18 months, the band famously booked into our North Studio for just ten days before performing an intimate set for friends and family, and then taking the show out on the road.

The resulting tour ran for more than a year, taking in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, South East Asia and Japan. The North American leg is reported to have grossed an estimated $24.1 million dollars.

Snow Patrol

Here's a great video of Snow Patrol rehearsing in our Blue Studio.

It was shot in late summer 2008 as the band were gearing up to release their fifth album - A Hundred Million Suns - and head out on their international arena tour, Taking Back the Cities. The song in question is track six from the album, Please Just Take These Photos From My Hands.

Liz Hobbs MBE

"Both Music Bank and the Liz Hobbs Group share a passion for nurturing new talent. Working for the past 16 years as management and agency representatives to singers, dancers and musicians - and having significant experience in producing concerts and large scale public events - we've heard great things about Music Bank and were pleased to work with them most recently on AYRPLAY. This is Scotland's greatest battle of the bands, and is backed by Scottish Enterprise, VisitScotland and, just as importantly, Music Bank whose expertise and experience have really given the entrants great heights to aim for."

Britannia Row Productions

"We've been recommending Music Bank since they opened their doors in the early 90s. The clean, bright, well-appointed rooms and helpful staff make for a good experience for everyone."

Bryan Grant, Managing Director, Britannia Row Productions

Dick Tee, EnTEEtainment Ltd

"I've worked with the team at Music Bank for more than ten years on a variety of projects and have always found their 'can-do' attitude to be really refreshing - to say nothing of their quality equipment, quality crew and quality job overall.

"In my role as Production Manager for the Pyramid Stage and Other Stage at the Glastonbury Festival, I've worked with Music Bank since the mid-90s. We also work together on the annual Medway Council 'Castle Concerts' series at Rochester Castle and a variety of other shows and events. Their backline hire and production equipment services are - on every occasion - unrivalled."

Mike Case, Digidesign

"As European Sales Manger for Digidesign, I've enjoyed a very productive working relationship with Music Bank for more years than I care to remember. They have a dedicated team who are always open to incorporate and work with the latest products and technologies. They also deliver a level of service and support that's second-to-none and it's that 'going the extra mile' for their clients that I personally think sets them apart."

Ken Watts, FM Productions

"I've been working with Music Bank since they began, back in the mid-90s, and I've most recently hired them in my capacity of freelance production/tour manager for George Michael, Bond, Natalie Imbruglia, and Geri Halliwell. I use not only their rehearsal studios, but also their backline hire service, case rental, walkies and have several cages in their storage complex.

"I have a great working relationship with the team at Music Bank. They are people who understand what you need, and do everything they can to help you achieve what you need to achieve while you're there, or while you're on the road. When I started working with them they had just the North and South Studios, so it's been a joy to see the Blue and Green facilities come on board and watch the company expand. Music Bank is without question the best rehearsal facility in London."
